Fire Department Wins Grant for New Ambulance

Thanks to the leadership of Ralston Volunteer Fire Department Chief Kevin Eischeid, Ralston won a $75,000 grant to purchase a new ambulance from the Nebraska Department of Health & Human Services.

“Keeping our ambulances current is a key to providing fast, reliable emergency response to our residents,” said Chief Eischeid. “Thanks to the Health & Human Services Department, we can purchase a new ambulance that will help our paramedics continue their outstanding service to Ralston.”

City Administrator Rick Hoppe lauded Chief Eischeid and the Department for obtaining the grant, “The award frees up the City’s capital dollars for other improvements in the community. Thanks to the Department’s hard work in getting that grant, $75,000 is available to fund streets, park improvements, or other needs.”
