Keep Kids Alive Signs

"Keep Kids Alive - Drive 25" signs can be purchased for $10 at the Police Department. Help keep your neighborhood safe.

Vacation House Checks

When you are out of town, officers check your residence periodically to provide an added security measure. If you are going out of town and would like special attention on your house, complete the Vacation House Check Form at least 5 days prior to leaving and someone from the department will call you to verify.

Speed Trailer

To assist with various speed problems, the Police Department uses a speed trailer. The trailer displays speeds of passing cars as a reminder as well as providing an opportunity for motorists to check their speedometers. If you would like the speed trailer in your neighborhood, complete the Speed Trailer Request Form.

Radar Program

The citizen radar program allows citizens to attend a 3-hour course that includes classroom and hands-on training in the use of radar. Citizens then are able to use the radar in their neighborhoods and document vehicles that are speeding. This information is provided to the Police Department for follow-up action.
